Get ready to make a trek "back home" as we meet in Biloxi, Mississippi for the 2026 Bourne Family Reunion. Seated on the Gulf Coast, Biloxi is not the destination you typically think of when you think of Mississippi. It has many sand-beaches to lounge on, museums and historic sites, tasty seafood restaurants, and more. Ask anyone who went to the 2022 reunion, we are bound to have a great time in the city known as the "Vegas of the South."

In an effort to save you money and make things a little smoother, we have changed the hotel details. Previously, we were going to be staying at the IP Hotel & Casino, but we will now be staying at the

Our block (and room rates) will be reserved until July 7, 2026 or until the room block has been filled, whichever comes first. Check-in begins at 4pm, and check-out is by 11am. ALL hotel rooms are non-smoking. A $200 charge will be assessed for smoking in a hotel room. Rates are accessible for 3 nights before and after the reunion. The Meet & Greet and Banquet will now be at the Golden Nugget.

WEDNESDAY | 7/29
5:30am - 1pm
FISHING CHARTER
In 2022, some cousins participated in a fishing trip off the coast and had a blast. We're running it back this year. Kendrick Bourne already has a list of people that were interested.
We are adding a little friendly competition to the water for this year’s fishing trip! We are putting together a Family Fishing Pot with two ways to win cash and bragging rights:

The Early Bird Catch: For the very first fish pulled out of the water. Lost fish don't count!

The Big Kahuna: For the heaviest/biggest fish caught during the trip.
It is a $10 buy-in per person to enter the pot (totally optional, but the more people who jump in, the bigger the cash prize!). The pot will be split 50/50 between the two winners. If you are going on the trip and want to opt-in for the competition, contact Kendrick Bourne.

MEET & GREET

During this time, family members will check-in and collect their reunion materials (i.e. reunion T-shirts and banquet and fish fry tickets). This is a time to mingle and talk with family that you may not have seen since the last reunion. There will also be light refreshments and activities.
If you've been wanting to learn some line dances, this is your time to shine! We'll have some cousins teaching some of the popular dances during the meet & greet. If you want to get ahead of the game, check out this list of tutorials Kaesee has put together.
Outfit theme: Rep your city!
Wear something that represents the city you are from. Feel free to coordinate with other from your state, ex: California has decided to wear Dodgers gear.

FAMILY DAY TRIP TO NEW ORLEANS
Location: New Orleans, LA (various locations)
The family is taking a day trip to Nola! You can fill your day however you please, but we do have some activities scheduled to do as a family. Click here for a list of suggested activities for both New Orleans and Biloxi.
We have reserved a 15-passenger van for those who would like transportation to and from New Orleans. The cost is $20/pp (anyone interested can contact Kaela Bourne 702-768-9100). The bus will leave Golden the Nugget Casino & Hotel at 9:30am for arrival in New Orleans around 11:30am. The drop off location will be at Bayou Swamp Tours, located at 201 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans, LA 70170. Transportation will then follow the rest of the family to the French Quarter/Bourbon Street, and will depart New Orleans at 10pm and arrive in Biloxi around 11:30pm.

We are planning a swamp tour with Bayou Swamp Tours! The tour time starts at 12pm, but attendees need to show up 30 minutes beforehand to check-in. Adults are $40.78 (purchase here with this link), Ages 5-12 are $33.74 (purchase here with this link), and kids under 5 are free. The last day to purchase tickets is July 16th.
2:30pm-ish French Quarter / Bourbon Street
After our bayou adventure, we'll head back toward the French Quarter to do what families do best–eat! From beignets and gumbo to po'boys and pralines, there are more food options than we can possibly try in one day!
11pm The Soul Rebels Performance
We have a cousin who is in a band "The Soul Rebels," and he will be performing a live set on Thursday night at Le Bon Temps Roule (it's a bar). Entry is $20 and the band goes on stage beginning at 11pm, with a final set around 1am. The Reunion Committee thought it would be a good idea to host a large family breakfast this year! It will be held right before the family meeting.

FAMILY MEETING

This will be happening at the same venue as the Family Breakfast and Fish Fry. Typically, we would have this meeting after the Fish Fry, but we didn't want to have to rush ourselves, so we are switching things up this year! After we have settled down from eating breakfast, we will be discussing family topics like board elections and the 2028 Bourne Family Reunion.

Come ready to eat at one of our favorite reunion events. In addition to eating, we will be playing games, and at 5pm, we will take our Bourne Family Reunion picture. So be sure to wear your 2024 reunion shirt to this event.

KIDS' MOVIE NIGHT

This event is still tentative, but the idea is for it to be a time for all the kids to hang out, watch movies, and make great memories with their cousins. More details to come.
